The spring rains are coming, and for MoorClan that means disaster! The stream at the edge of the territory is going to overflow during the constant downpour and flood much of the territory! And if that wasn't enough, a pack of dogs has been spotted sniffing around the edge of the territory, and will attack the clan's camp, killing several cats {please offer up a cat}.

MoorClan was founded by two cats named Misty and Storm. They were both two loners that lived in a small city of two-legs. Both of them made their homes in the park of the city. Legend has it that one day the two cats expressed to each other how much they hated the foul, filthy city, and made plans to run away together. The two journeyed far and wide before they reached a beautiful open moor. They instantly fell in love with its beauty, and decided that this was where they would make their home. At first they did not settle down, but traveled across the seemingly endless reaches of the vast plain{which was not actually as big as they thought, they were traveling in circles}. As they traveled they came across cats who also made their home on the moor, and who would tag along with them on their journey across the moor. Eventually they were too big a group to keep moving and made their home in a large dip in the moor.

MoorClan cats believe in SpiritClan. When cats who have been loyal and kind during their life die, they join SpiritClan and watch over MoorClan, and guide them. Disloyal and vengeful cats do not go to SpiritClan; they go to LostClan. The cats in LostClan are always trying to deceive the MoorClan cats and lead them to their doom.

MoorClan, as the name implies, lives on a large moor. A stream runs through the north east expanse of the territory. The stream begins in the WoodClan forest on the northern border of MoorClan and continues to the rocky shores of SeaClan. The stream cuts off a tiny piece of moorland from the rest. This piece has only one tree that seems out of place, and this is where the gatherings are held. Down towards the south of the territory lies MoorClan's camp in a large dip. This dip has several large stones scattered about, that, over the years, have been fashioned into dens. The only stone that remains unchanged is the Announcement Stone that sits in the middle of the camp.

When a kit becomes an apprentice they must sleep in the middle of camp that night, so that they are under the stars.
When an apprentice becomes a warrior they must make a solitary trip to the Spirit Tree to receive guidance from their ancestors.
When a lieutenant becomes leader, or the medicine cat apprentice a medicine cat, they must meditate for a full day in the topmost boughs of the Spirit Tree.
Leaders take the suffix -sky for their name.
