Wolfpaw screeched as she took a bite of the mouse and saw little white maggots! She imediatly spat the chunk of mouse out and darted away from her piece of prey. The apprentice didn't understand, she had just caught it today!

Dragonstar pricked up her ears and darted over to Wolfpaw "what is it?" She asked

tanpelt followed.

"The prey I caught today... it's filled with maggots!" Her gold eyes widened as she stared at her rotten piece of prey, still spitting out the taste just to be safe.

tanpelt looked at the prey.

Dragonstar sniffed it "you better see if its a sign from starclan for now burry it and check the rest of the fresh kill pile" she mewed

he aggred with dragonstar.

Wolfpaw quickly buried the rotten mouse and darted over and made small slits in some prey, sighing in relief at the sight of no maggots. "Well, Dragonstar, no more maggot, just in the gray mouse." Her gold eyes darted to the lump of dirt that had maggots crawling out of.

She dipped her head "well done!" She mewed

Wolfpaw smiled and settled her black marble fur.

"Okay!" She purred "I will see ya soon!"

"Battle training, now or later, Dragonstar?" the little she cats eyes widened in curiousity.

"Okay we will do it now!" She purred

Wolfpaw purred loudly as she bounced around her mentor.

Dragonstar stretched and padded off to the training hollow

tanpelt walked to a shady spot in camp.

Wolfpaw padded after her, yawning largely in mid stride.

Dragonstar faced her in battle poaition "okay lets say im a fox comming in to steal some of our kits what are you gonnna do?" She asked

Wolfpaw got into her own battle pose and pinned her ears back, "Ill defend them at all cost. Even if that means my own life!" She growled and feigned right and darted left and swiped at Dragonstars back legs, making her fall. The apprentice darted back to the front and readied herself for her mentors attack.

Dragonstar got up"very good!" She mewed then she dashed toward her apprentice ready to dodge any of her attacks
