A pretty female lynx came out of her fallen tree den,she had been sleeping there for awhile. But no one had passed by her den in a long time,she hoped that someone would so happen to walk by and say hello. She got on top of the fallen log and walked across it,she looked down spotting a mouse under the log. She jumped down,surpriseing the little animal. With a quick swipe of her paw she had breakfast,she licked her lips and ate it with one gulp. It's like I've been forgotten by everyone in the whole world... She thought,sighing.

The little lynx kitten sniffed the air,Yay! She thought detecting the smell of another lynx. She turned around,"Hello,person!" She squeaked happily.

"Do you mind,if you come closer I prefer not to shout." The lynx kitten mewed.

"ok" She said and padded over to the lynx kit. "What's your name? Mine is Rain." Rain asked.

"Akira,nice ta meet ya!" Akira said,smileing.

Rain smiled. "Watcha doin out here by yourself?" Rain asked Akira.

"A lot of what?" Akira crouched down ready to pounce on the moth that had landed on a peice of tree branch that had fallen from it's tree,her little amber eyes where sparkleing with delight.

" Alot about hunting and surviving on your own." Rain said, watching the young kit stalk the moth.

Akira pounced on the moth,the stick snapping under her small paw. She licked the moth up and swallowed it up,She stuck her tongue out. "Teh! The only thing I don't know is the taste of things,everything else came naturally to me." She said,looking back at Rain.

"Heh....well luckily i still have part of a deer that i couldnt finish. I wasnt about to waste it." Rain said, dragging out two deer legs. "Here, take one." She said

"OoOoooo!" Akira cooed,padding over to the legs and took one big bite out of one.

Rain started to eat an leg. "Are you an orphan?" Rain asked.

"Yeah..." Akira said sadly,gulping down tears and the deer meat.

"Well....since your an orphan....and no one claimed you, I guess you can stick with me if you want." Rain said, seeing how sad the kit was.

Akira's eyes brightened,"You'd do that?" She was speechless.

"Sure i would, i never had a real family of my own either." Rain said.
