Leedle sat with her arms around her legs, back turned away from her cage mate. Sighing as she looked out into the dark, quiet lab.

  • "You really are annoying." The boy with his back to her's whispered in a teasing tone. "You're no fun at all.'
He had light-blue eyes that hid so much emotion in them and his hair was white a feathery. His wings were the same colour as snow and he wore a scarf around his mouth. It made his voice muffled but he was audible enough.

  • She sighed and stared at the bottom of the cage, frowning. Suddenly she turned around and growled, "I could say the same about you." this was unusual for her, she usually just ignored him and barley talked. This time she stared him right in his icy blue eyes with a ticked off look on her face.

  • The angel smiled but it was unseen under his scarf. He was a lot older than he looked but physically he had the body of a teenager.
His name was Spirit Draco and constantly annoyed his cell-mate. Well there wasn't much else to do anyway.
He rolled his eyes at her and chuckled. "You get so worked up."
And then he put his left hand in his pocket and took out a small book. On the cover was a picture of a cross so it looked like a bible. It wasn't though, it's cover was fake.

  • I listened to some of the conversation that was going on in the cages near me. I leaned against the bars, facing the wall, and listened closely. I didn't intend on talking, but wondered if someone would try to talk to me.

  • She sighed again and turned back around. "You would too." She whispered, barely audible. She looked over at the girl in the other cage who had the red hair. Their eyes met and she tried to focus on them so she would stop saying stupid things.

  • "No, I don't get angry often. You do because you're stupid." He replied, reading his book as he said it.
It looked like the words were written in a different language and there were pictures of a variety of things like snakes and bats, witches and vampires.
Spirit wasn't concerned about being captured and put into this cage. Nothing really bothered him.

  • She couldnt help but feel a tiny bit hurt at that. She had run out of things to say so she just stuck her tongue out silently over her shoulder at him.

  • I turned my head a bit so I could see the boy. "That's really rude to say, don't you think?"I said quietly, with no trace of emotion in it. My grey eyes watched him. They used to be green, but they'd faded in the time I'd been here, and mixed with other colors.

  • "It would be even more rude if I didn't tell her what I think about her." Spirit replied in a teasing tone, finding some kind of sick pleasure in being cruel. "I do everything for a reason."
He didn't even look up when he said any of this and strands of white hair covered his right eye, hiding it from view.

  • She shook her head and smiled sadly at Red.

  • "Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all? Or did you never have a mother?"I asked, wondering if that hurt him at all.

  • She looked back to Spirit in anticipation of what he would say to this.

  • The older angel's lips tightened but it was hidden. He blinked slowly and considered ignoring the comment but he thought better of it and said, "You are also stupid."
His eyes slowly met the other boy's and he looked bored. "You said to me not to say mean things yet you are doing or too or at least hinting at it."
He rolled his eyes again and went back to readying his book.

  • Suddenly, something washed over her. Her head started throbbing and she could suddenly feel what the others were feeling. All the emotions in the room flooded through her and she squared her shoulders. Squeezing her eyes shut and massaging her forehead with her wrist. Turning away so nobody could see her. She picked out Red's and Spirit's and saw that spirit was slightly ticked off by that, and no matter how hard she tried, she just couldnt tap into Red's feelings. then she took a long, steady breath and opened her eyes, panting. "That was weird." She murmured aloud by accident.

  • Spirit suddenly glared at her, his eyes flashing for a few seconds.
Without a word he got up and sat in the darkest corner he could find and started to read his book again, obviously something was wrong.
He knew that she had seen their emotions, he sensed those kind of things and his friend used to do the same thing. He hated it, inner emotions were suppose to be private.

  • She smirked as she figured out how to tap into his emotions again. This time she thought hard enough and was able to send some of hers into his mind. Well now I have a way to torment you like you do me. And why do you disguise that book?

  • Spirit began to laugh and when he stopped he moved his fringe covering his right eye and locked them on to her's. They bore deep into her's with unwavering focus.
'You think you're smart, don't you? Here's another reason why you're stupid; never underestimate your enemy.' He sent to her.
And with that he formed barriers around his mind, throwing her out of it. He knew the tricks to keeping others out of his head and he was actually going easy on her. If he wanted to, he could probably do some damage to her mentally.
"Some people know how to guard their minds better than others." He finally spoke, letting his hair fall back into place. "Don't try that on me again or I will crush you."

  • Right. and thats me. She said, becoming so mad that she literally didnt care about anything and was able to blast right thought the barriers because she was so furious. Now how, might I ask, do you plan on crushing me?
