The she-cat, tortoiseshell fur diluted to pale blues and creams, didn't reply. Instead, she turned and gave Aliln a soft smile, returning the nuzzle rather awkwardly. Despite being friends with the small parrot, it still felt, well.. odd, being so close with a bird. But nevertheless, Lilacpaw was fascinated by the whole idea of it. "You.. ah, oh, how do you say it..?" She began to mutter in bird language that was quite broken up and hardly fluent. "Oh, right!" She meowed, giving a small chuckle before looking at Aliln once again. This time, she spoke in bird, though it was still choppy. "You okay?" Her tail flicked, motioning to the gathering of her Clanmates around her.

-
Wolfsmoke padded out with Dapplesmoke and Eaglescar.
((OUT)) -
Rosepelt stretched. She wanted Chimeraflame back, but she couldn't leave her kits.
-
Aliln nodded, "Cold." she mewed then fluffed herself up and make it obvious she was cold, maybe it would help Lilacpaw learn a new word. "Whats wrong?" She then said looking around her at the other cats, she spoke slow hoping the apprentice would pick up the language.
-
Terriansilence followed Eaglescar.
-
Heatherkit ran out of the nursery and tried to get to the search party.
Rosepelt scooped her kit up by the scruff. "No, you aren't going."
-
Lilacpaw frowned, staring at the snow white parrot hard. "Cold?" She replied, the word once again broken. "Cold.." She repeated it several more times in bird, and as she did, the word became more familiar on her tongue. Though, she still wasn't sure what it meant. Only when Aliln ruffled her feathers did she realize. "Oh, she means cold! Right?" Asked the apprentice, blue eyes turning to Forestvoice.
-
"Why not?" Heatherkit whined. She broke away from her mother, running towards the camp entrance.
-
Forestvoice nodded, "Yes, she said cold." The Browntabby mewed smiling.
When she repeated thw word back to her Aliln jumped up and down. "Good!" She said, but how would she describe good? Was there even an action to go with that word. She looked over at Forestvoice, maybe he would know.
-
Yes! Heatherkit thought. I going to make it!
Rosepelt yowled, "Someone grab my kit!"
-
Lilacpaw smiled gently, eyes sparkling at the praise given to her, and, unknown to her, her friend Aliln. But when the female parrot gave another squawk, Lilacpaw had no idea what she'd just said. Like Aliln, she turned to stare at Forestvoice, while wondering what her friend had said.
-
Yellowstar closed her eyes and breathed deeply trying to understand it again. She turned in a circle that way--she heard a bird shriek nearby and wondered if that was a good sign or not. She opened her eyes again--and backed away quickly. Right in front of her face was a bird screeching at her in a very odd way. It sparked something in here, and for some reason the name Forestvoice floated to her mind... it was quickly lost again though and she hissed at the intrusive winged creature, her claws sliding out into the cold snow.
. . . . . .
Tsunamipaw blinked. "you don't reckon... you don't reckon they're somewhere together?" He asked breathlessly. The blue and white tom quivered eagerly. "Hey--what if they've been catnapped?"
-
Forestvoice laughed, "She said Good." He then saw a kit run by him, and attempted to pick it up. "Come on Fella, its not safe out there." Forestvoice then looked up, "Maybe." He mewed to the apprentice.
Neshira frowned, and backed up. She then pointed one of her wings in the direction of camp. "Come on..Camp." The bird said. Jumping in that direction, then turning back to Yellowstar. "Camp."
-
Heatherkit felt teeth clamp her scruff. "Put me down!" She squeaked.
-
"Oh!" Exclaimed Lilacpaw, giving a small giggle despite the whole reason she and her mentor were standing around. Standing around waiting for Yellowstar, so that Chimeraflame could be searched for more. But those thoughts hardly came to mind as Lilacpaw once again tried to imitate sounds of what her mentor said to be the word "good".
-
Don't attack it. She thought to herself--though it made no sense. Since when did one turn down food that pranced so obviously before her? The thought was alien, like it seemed a lot of what she'd been coming up with lately. Frustration fueled her again--why couldn't she ever seem to know what was going on? Yellowstar breathed deeply. She had to get back home, wherever that was. Someone was probably waiting for her. Yes... someone was probably wondering where she'd gone off too. Come to that, she was wondering too. She thought briefly of retracing her pawsteps, but it seemed like a foolish action to take. She stared towards the bird again, the temptation to override her odd avoidance growing by the second--but why was it being so stupid?
-
Aliln smiled, "Good!' She said again, dancing around a bit. "Yes, Good!" She said, saying 'yes' a bit slower.
Forestvoice smiled, where would Yellowstar be?
Neshira sighed, she kept her wings stretched towards camp. "Camp." She squawked again, she frowned and hopped closer to Yellowstar, but then hopped away, fluttering towards the direction of camp, but staying close enough, she knew that cats flicked their tails as a signal to follow them, but she instead flapped her wing in one direction, as a sign to follow.
-
"Put me down!" Heatherkit repeated. She twisted around and gave her captor a hard bite on the chest before scraping at it with her tiny claws.
-
Might as well nab it--it wouldn't take long, and then at least she could think on a full stomach. Yes, she should have saved it, but she didn't think she was on a official hunting trip, and the clan probably had enough food. Plus... Yellowstar couldn't starve out here, could she? Now that just wouldn't be fair. She took light steps towards Neshira.
-
Forestvoice hissed, "Come on little guy, just relax, no need to fight." It was only a kit, he would deal with the pain. "Who's the mother?" He muffled through the scruff of the kit.
Neshira smiled, finally the cat was getting it. She fluttered over a few more rabbit hops, and then waiting for the leader to follow.
