Mizore was about to go across the hall and kneel beside him but she stopped herself and rested her head against the wall. "You did nothing wrong, what's there to forgive? And, Shadow, I don't hate you," she burst out softly, suddenly feeling slightly nervous.

"Why would I hate you? I love you. Shadow, I'm the one who told you it was okay. So, I guess I'm at fault, not you. After all, I did sort of egg you on." She said.

"Not to bring harm to me?" Mizore half-chuckled, half-gasped. "How could you possibly bring harm to me? By loving me? I make my own choices, and I made the choice to be with you, Shadow. I don't know how you could think that you'd bring harm to me." Her gray eyes locked onto his as he moved over to her and she felt her breath catch in her throat.

Mizore wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "The only thing that could hurt me, is by being away from you," she said softly.

Mizore smiled and curled her fingers into his shirt as she gave soft yawn. She didn't know why, but she was getting tired. Sure night had fallen over the city, but it was still pretty early into the night.

"If I go to sleep, what are you going to do?" Part of her wondered if he'd try to leave again while she was asleep, but there was another part of her that knew he wouldn't; or maybe it was hope. Her voice was sleepy as she looked up at him.

Mizore gave a brief nod and kissed his cheek. "Goodnight," she said and went over to her bed, laying down, her head on the pillow. Within moments, her eyes closed and she drifted off to sleep, her chest rising and falling gently.

Mizore slept dreamlessly and occasionally rolled over and mumbled words, but they were hardly understandable.

Mizore woke up after a little bit. She sat up in bed and looked at the clock on the small table next to her bed; 12:20 AM. She wasn't sure why she woke up, normally she slept the entire night without waking up one time. Her stomach grumbled and she touched her stomach with a fragile hand and stood, left the room and stepped into the hallway, where she could see Shadow on the ground in his room. Why wasn't he on the bed, asleep, instead of on the ground? Had he fallen off? Shrugging, she went into the kitchen and opened the fridge, picked a bloodbag up from the top shelf and let her fangs extend. They punctured two holes in the side of the bloodbag and she began to drink.

Mizore spun around, startled by Shadow's scream. She slammed the now empty bloodbag on the counter and rushed down the hall and into his room. "S-Shadow? You nearly gave me a heart attack! Are you okay?" she asked, kneeling beside him.
