"O-Of c-course, Moon, wherever y-you think would b-be b-best," she finally managed to get out intelligibly. Noticing her gaze on her, Dance looked down at her paws nervously.

"Look," Moon said, sitting down. " I don't bite. None of us do. I need you to tell me why you won't talk. I'm not angry, I'm just... Concerned. It's not good for a cat to stay shut tight like a twoleg nest. What's wrong?"
-
Widening her eyes in surprise, Dance pinned her ears back. "I-I'm s-sorry," she squeaked. She opened her mouth to continue but no other sound came out, and she quickly closed it. Her pelt fluffing up in alarm, she sat down and leaned farther away from the Stormbringer, as if she really was going to bite.
-
"Don't be sorry," Moon said. "If you don't want to tell me, that's alright. I just want you to know that I'm here to help. We all are."
-
"Let's k-keep hunting..." Not pausing to look at Moon, Dance bolted through the forest towards the outskirts. Her paws softly thrummed on the soft ground, beating to a rhythm only her ears could hear. She hadn't been expecting Moon to speak to her like that, she needed a couple heartbeats on her own to compose whatever she still had.
-
End approached Moon, watching for a storm as he did every day. He paused from looking at the sky, his old yellow eyes flashing in anticipated excitement. "There might be a storm tonight." he whispered to her. "A big one. It may bring us good luck." he blinked then, staring after Dance.
"Her shyness troubles me." -
"Indeed. I'll let her continue on to the forest by herself. She needs some time alone." Moon said. "A storm tonight might be just what she needs though. A bit of celebration always lightens the spirit, and perhaps Moreta will guide her towards a better path."
-
Glancing behind her, Dance sighed in relief when she didn't see the Stormbringer behind her. Her shyness was bad enough with other cats, a cat of higher authority just made it worse, especially with Fire. She didn't know why she felt this way, but she suspected a small crush. Pushing all thoughts from her mind, she concentrated on her hunting once more.
Fire That Fades in the Night looked around the camp. When he say Bear, he called to him. "Bear! Would you come on a border patrol with me? We're late with our patrols."
-
End gave a short nod, looking up as a few dark clouds flew overhead. Satisfied, he turned around and began padding back.
-
Too sucked into her hunting, she didn't notice the storm clouds bearing down until one fat raindrop landed square on her nose. She squeaked and hurriedly gathered her prey, streaking through the rain. Her pelt bristled with fear until she reached the camp. Smoothing down her fur, she attempted to hide the fear in her eyes from her fellow clanmates. She quickly disposed of her prey in the pile and waited for Moon to announce the ceremony to begin.
-
Moon padded onto the ledge outside of her den. "Cats of the tribe!" She yowled, "tonight is a night to forget all of our duties, all our troubles! Tonight is a night of blessed celebration, celebration of the rains that water our lands, the thunder that is our battle cry, and, most importantly, Moreta, who is the lightning that guards us against our enemies and illuminates our path! Eat your fill of fresh-kill, and let your hearts be full of joy! Let the celebrations begin!"
-
Letting out a joyful yowl that rang over the camp, Dance waved her flowing tail high in the air. Her purr was only slightly forced, she was beginning to get over one of her many, many fears. Letting the rain soak her to the skin, she grabbed a fat mouse from the newly-filled fresh-kill pile and dug in, getting closer to the other cats of her tribe.
-
Moon went over to End. "Your prediction was right, as always," she said.
-
OOC: Skyflash, we've found an official Skywatcher. Would you like Fire to be a Songweaver, hunter, or fighter?
-
OOC- I had to take a shower, what'd I miss?
-
OOC: it's a stormy night, so the tribe's having a celebration!
-
Stone sniffed the stormy air. Ahhhh..... He struck and pounced on a nearby mouse, and then walked off to find Moon.
-
"Greetings, Stone!" Moon meowed, "A glorious night, is it not?" Her fur was plastered to her skin by the rain, enhancing her thin, muscled build. She shivered, but from excitement, not cold.
OOC: btw, if End wants to throw in a prophecy, something could happen during the ceremony, I.e. a lightning striking something significant.
-
Stone smiled.
OOC- Can cats smile? Oh well.
IC- He mewed. "Yes, glorious. To think so many other tribes and clans hide in their dens on such a wonderful night!" -
"Moreta smiles down upon us," Moon meowed. "We've had no shortage of prey this season, and the few loners we have encountered have been driven away without injury."
