"Nff.... GAHH!" Oncie cried out, though he was still lost in the black void. His body thrashed around for a moment, before going completely limp. His breathing and heartbeat slowed, coming out in wet inhales and exhales. Crimson liquid stained the grass around him.

Oncie's life was hanging by a single thread. His breathing thrummed wetly, and every once in a while he shook.
As he swam in the void, memories flashed around him. Cats he'd never seen before blocked his path to the light, which was just steps away. They yowled at him. And one of them was...
"Lily... paw.." His broken form wiggled weakly, and his voice was raspy. A tear slipped from the crook of his eye. I don't want to die without her knowing... But it hurts to talk. His teeth clenched in pain, and another tear trickled down his cheek. "Lily... paw..... I.."
