"Oh.... So will you help me with classes and other stuff?" she asked, not wanting to lag behind in these things.

He smiled. "Sure, why not?"

"I feel nervous! About going to school... You'll stay by my side right until I know my place around." she said with a hit of puppy eyes in her delicate green eyes.

"Of course. Why kind of jerk would I be if I let you try to survive high school alone. You wouldn't survive your first day."

"Hey! I could stand it, I'd just be horrible at it." she said and giggled, "Oh, another random question... Have you ever had a girlfriend?" she asked.

"Yes I have. Recently as a matter of fact. But I don't like to talk about it."

"Ohh... did it not work out I guess..." she said, not wanting to get to involved but wondering if he still was dating her... She sighed slightly

"No it's not that. She died in a house fire."

"Oh..." she said and her ears went down. She didn't know what to say, what if he still had feelings for her, t kind of wouldn't matter but still the fact of it. Her tail hung down and she fiddled with her fingers.

"No, it's okay. You had nothing to do with it. Everyone moves on eventually, like I did." He finished cooking and put the food on a bunch of plates. "Come on, let's eat."

She nodded slightly and sighed again before her ears going back up. She sat down and began to smile, "Thank you, Kieth." she said

"No prob." Emily came rushing downstairs. "Thanks for making breakfast Kieth. I'm starving,"she said and began eating.

She giggled and started eating. She kept pondering on the thought of him and who he liked. She sighed outloud, not really realizing it. She closed her eyes and thought for a moment to herself.

"What's on your mind,"Kieth asked with a mouth full of pancakes.

She opened her eyes back up and looked over at Kieth, "Uhhh.... it's nothing I really want to talk about..." she said, trying not to blush. She looked to the side and sighed, silently this time. She began eating again, quite quiet.

"Okay." He continued eating.

Kiara looked at Kieth again and bit her lip, I can't tell at all if he likes me... she thought and frowned.

"Um... Excuse me. Where how did you get those ears and tail,"Emily asked.

"I was born with them..." she said, technically not lying. "Its a little hard to explain... and I guess weird too I don't even understand it myself." She said
