Well, watcha waitin' for?
It's alright
Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

IC: Jay threw a carefully aimed knife, aiming to hit the monster in the leg. Not looking to see if it hit, he quickly grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her behind him. "Stay back."OC:
~~~
Let go, let go
Just get in
Oh it's so amazing here
It's alright, cause there's beauty in the breakdown -
"Why should I? And who are you, and why did the monster disapper?" She questioned the boy, holding her hand to her cheek. She then tore her arm away from his grasp.
-
Jay just sighed as she bombarded him with questions. "We'll have time to talk things over later, but right now we have to go." He replied simply, voice holding a sense of urgency. He cursed under his breath as the monster began to reform itself, stepping in front of her again. He had been given instructions from camp that he was supposed to bring back a new demi-god; which would be the girl standing behind him now.
-
She then said"Well, lets get going!" Smiling she waved her hand at the monster, who was suprised. Then she made an ekking sound, as she swore she heard ghost's, thunder and ocean winds. She then went behind him, and said"What the h*ll just happened?"
-
Jay pales for a moment, an unknown emotion flashing across his electric blue gaze. Shaking his head, he grabbed her hand again, pulling her after him. "No time to explain, just run." He replied again, gaze locked on the nearby street corner as if in concentration.
A few seconds later a loud flapping noise was heard, and a light grey Pegasus slid to a stop in front of them. Knowing that the mist manipulating the scene probably made the humans see an ordinary horse, Jay didn't worry much, tugging on the girls hand again after pulling himself onto the winged horse's back. "Hurry, get on behind me." -
She just did as told, and got on. She shivered, half from fear, half from cold.
-
Jay leaned forward, whispering into the horse's ear for a second. Soon after, they shot into the sky faster than a bullet, and Jay prayed that the girl had enough sense to hold on tight.
-
She held on, then grabbed his waist. She shut her eyes, afraid of heights.
-
"It's alright, it'll be over soon. A word of advise, though; closing your eyes will only make the ride scarier...." He advised, yelling over the roar of the wind around them. He once again leaned forward to whisper in the horse's ear, and they gradually slowed down until they were gliding steadily on a calm breeze. "You okay back there?" He asked, turning slightly to look at her when her tight grip didn't disappear.
-
She then opened one eye, then blushed. "Sorry, bad fear of heights." She let go, but was obviously uncomfortable. She tried not too notice that they where in the air. It worked a bit.
-
Jay grinned sheepishly. "Just relax, I promise that Thunder here won't let you fall." He chuckled lightly, patting the grey horse's neck.
-
"Okay. But, how much longer till we get there?" She asked, knowing that they where going somewhere.
-
"A few minutes maybe." He shrugged, looking back at her questioningly. "Anything you wanted to ask?"
-
"Well, Who are you, and why don't I know much about myself." She questioned him, looking at him.
-
"First, my name's Jay, nice to meet you. Second, I'm really not sure..." He replied lightly, gaze slightly narrowed as if deep in thought. Soon, they wee touching down at camp.
-
She looked around, amazed. Suddenly people started to point at her, looking at something above her head. She looked up, and gasped. Above her head where all the signs of every virgin greek goddess. "What the heck?!"
-
"You've been claimed as the child of a goddess... But you're really only supposed to have one..." Jay clarified thoughtfully. "This is a bit strange..."
-
"But if I rember correctly, These goddess aren't supposed to have children at all." She said.
-
"Then I guess I really don't know the explanation for this..." Jay replied, slightly frustrated. He winced though as a sharp sting ran up his arm, looking down to see a long, shallow gash. "Huh... Where'd this come from? Maybe I'm getting a bit rusty if the monster from earlier actually managed to get a hit in..."
