Also, to make snide, sarcastic comebacks when someone tells you off for being so "horrible."

When someone is intentionally being disruptive.
This is one reason why we let members delete any posts made to their own threads now and let members ban people off threads...you don't need to call staff to clean up spam messes anymore. :P

You mean the thread bans and ability to delete? They were my ideas, but only in a sense; a lot of other sites allow you to remove material posted onto your own stuff, so I was just following their lead.

The best way to avoid it is not to feed into it.
If your friend was shown a ban message for trolling, are you sure it was intended for your friend? Was he or she a normally playing member before the ban message, and got no warning or anything?
