she smiled and nodded in understanding "okay good! I like it though. It's cozy and classy"

"Really?" He laid down and closed his eyes. "Last time I went in there I was eight and it was huge, since it was completely empty."

"Well that's because it was empty. It's not really that big. More like medium sized" Summer replied, shrugging her shoulder a little

"And I was so short" He added.

"that also" she giggled. "So Dan, tell me about yourself"

"I'm seventeen, I live next door, and I have a crush on this really cute girl who just moved in. But, don't tell her."

Summer looked at him confused, but just shrugged it off. "Okay, I won't tell..." She thought of something else to say, and came up with something eventually. "Well I'm almost 17, by birthday is in September, and... umm.. I dunno.."

He smiled at her. "Want to go somewhere with me?"

"Okay! where?" she smiled at him, her eyes sparkling in excitment

"The beach?_

"Sure! I haven't to a beach for... umm a long time!" she explained getting to her feet an holdingout her hand, to help him get up

He grabbed her hand and got up. "Its not very far from here."

"Awesome!" she smiled then realized she hadn't unpacked any swim wear yet. "Should I go get chsnged first?"

He nodded. "I need to go get changed too."

"Allright. Meet ya out front in a few." Summer smiled and jogged inside, running up the stairs. On her way, she nearly knocked over her Mother, who was putting things away and unpacking. "Summer? What's the rush? her mom questioned and summer smiled brightly and said "Going to the beach with a new friend!"

Dan waited in front of her house. He was in his car.

Summer came back out after a few minutes, and she skipped up to his car, getting in. "Hi!" she chirped, bubbling with excitment

He smiled at her. "Ready?"

"You betcha!" she giggled happily
