    "Well...here goes, wait a second..." Zero thought before the gym leader walked over to him and Crystal.

    Crystal's dad looked at Zero. "I see..." he said. "That tone of voice he had there...." Zero thought.

    "Wrath, you're up first." Zero said. His Haxorus nodded and walked onto the arena. "A Haxorus, huh? Interesting choice." Crystal's dad said. "Well, I know one thing for sure, and that Grass types can't beat a Dragon type so easily." Zero said, and Crystal's dad simply smirked before taking out a Poke Ball. "So you think that's right, huh? We'll see about that. Abomasnow, come on out!" Crystal's dad added before sending out his Abomasnow. "Great, this is just my luck. A Grass and Ice type. Wrath and I will have to be really careful." Zero thought.

    "This could be a problem already, but we'll have to hold out with my plan." Zero thought. "Alright, Wrath, use Brick Break!" Zero said. Wrath went running at the Abomasnow, but the Abomasnow grabbed Wrath's wrist. Crystal's dad smirked a bit. "Abomasnow, throw that Haxorus into the sky." Crystal's dad said. His Abomasnow spun Wrath around and threw him up into the air. "Now, Blizzard!" Crystal's dad added, and his Abomasnow sent a flurry of snow and ice up at Wrath, landing a direct hit.

    Zero smiled, and Blaze, his Volcarona flew over to him. "We did it, Blaze! We won." Zero said before he noticed Crystal's dad was laughing. "Yes, you won. But, you still aren't deserving of a gym badge." Crystal's dad said. "Wait, why? I won the battle. You owe me a gym badge." Zero said. "You may have won the battle, but anyone I see trying to steal away my daughter isn't deserving of a gym badge." Crystal's dad said.
