  • "Ah, yes, you survived. That is a true mark that you are a child of a god, and are incredibly special to us. No matter your parent. Hmm, let me fix that cut of yours and then we'll proceed." The horse-man spoke to you normally, and you stare at it with wide eyes. "No need to be afraid, child. my name is Chiron. I am a centaur." the centaur's voice was deep and calming. Feeling a little relieved you follow him into the infirmary where a few campers are sleeping on some beds, some with various injuries. The centaur kindly rubs your cut with a golden colored juice that reminds you vaguely of your favorite beverage. He then hands you a chunk of something like a chocolate bar and you eat it as told. Wow...your favorite food. After a little while, he explains that your are a child of a Greek god. That the Greek gods in the myths you were always fascinated with actually exist. In amazement you listen as he lists all of the gods off, and that your may be a child of one of them. Chiron then tells you he (and others) would be training your so that when you got older (if you survived), you could make your way decently into the world, full of monsters, and other vermin. Can you survive?

  • The unnatural mist surrounding the Zeus cabin revealed it's (currently) sole occupant's displeasure. Tiny flickers of electricity arched through the small cloud, lightly shocking anyone who came near. The perpetrator of this weather anomaly, Jason Raelyn, threw up such formations when he was sick and tired of the friendliness of his neighbors, and he was currently lying on the roof of the cabin, arms serving as pillows. Despite continued rebuffs, the Aphrodite girls insisted on trying to make friends. Probably due to his looks, but the reason mattered little to him. The Demeter kids also insisted on bringing around baskets of fruit at seemingly every opportunity. Why can't anyone in this bloody place just leave well enough alone? Jay asked himself irritably, They act like I chose to be here. Well, he technically had, but it had been a choice between endless monster battles, which eventually would have resulted in Jay's sticky demise, or coming to this Camp. Although, he would gladly fight an army of monsters right now if it kept the well meaning but extremely irritating Campers away from him.

  • "Jay! Come on, you promised to go boating with me." Holly banged on his door. She didn't cut him any slack. "Remember?" the pink-haired girl demanded through the door.

    Ooc~ Short post, gtg.

  • Jay snarled angrily, but she was right, he had in fact promised. What he hadn't said was when they would do it... Ah, but might as well get it over with. Jay let himself slide right off the slanted roof, a windstream slowing his fall to the ground enough so he landed next to Holly as if he had just been jumping off a four foot wall. "Fine. I really should have just shocked you like the others," he grumbled, glaring a bit at her. Holly was barely tolerable, but, then, she was probably the only one who was even slightly tolerable in this Camp. Sure, she forced him into boring activities, but at least she was amusing at times. That and she was influential enough to keep most of the other Campers from bothering him. That was her primary virtue, as far as Jay was concerned.

  • "I wish you would smile more." Holly touched his shoulder lightly, and gestured towards the lake. "Shall we?" she asked with a grin. She was trying to be an influence on the boy, gods bless his soul, he was a tedious job. But, she did have a bet going on with Marko, he said she couldn't change Jay. She bet against him. Of course she would. Holly was the daughter of the goddess of victory. Duh. When they reached the boats she waited for him.

  • The Son of Zeus rolled his eyes at her before shrugging off her touch and starting toward the lake with a terse "Obviously." As a side effect of his particularly bad mood, a bit of the mist followed them about, and there were more clouds in the sky than perhaps there should have been. Maybe he could call up a storm and capsize the boat. Now that might be fun. But he doubted either Holly or Chiron would approve, the former would probably dislike getting wet, and Chiron wouldn't like him messing with the clear weather Camp Half-blood always seemed to have.

  • "If you don't want to go boating...then we could go torment some of the Aphrodite girls..." Holly said, pursing her lips, biting her tongue a little. "Or we could just hang out...maybe play in the rain. I'm up for anything. As long as you hang out with me." Holly flipped her pink hair out of her face, her intense blue-green eyes serious and fiery at the same time.

  • (Read up :) Jason (or Jay?) and Holly are heading off to go boating. Jack is not in a good mood, though - beware.)

Jax was on the roof of the Hermes cabin, reading a green-notated hardcover book and looking like she was not in the mood to do anything else or have anyone bother her today. Well ... perhaps a bit of sword practice might be nice. But that could wait until later - after she was done learning about the broken words of the 'hero' Odysseus. It was quite intriguing, actually, and the more she read the deeper her thoughts became.
But people today seemed far too friendly - as in a soft noise that bothered her while in the depths of studying the story. She looked up at this moment in a slight annoyance as she heard two people walking past, but relaxed a bit when she saw it was only Holly and Jason walked past. She returned to her book, Idris resting comfortable next to her left hip on her belt.

  • Baelfire stood in the fordge hammering on an imperial bronze blade. His muscular arms moved with a ease as he weilded the large hammer, bringing it down on the red hot metal. Sparkes flew with each strike, the bronze forming into a beautiful sword. Bae quickly placed the sword in the water bucket and steam flew into the air as the water crackled from the hot metal. Taking the blade out Bae examined it closely and went to go sharpen the edges.

Alex walked through the strawberry fields her brunnett hair tied back in a long braid that ran down her back. She was carrying East Light her staff with her as she normaly did, the long white pole shimmered in the sun. With a board look around Alex flopped down in the field letting the earth cool her skin and her hazel eyes looked up at the sky. She hummed a soft tune to herself and she heard a few insects start humming along.

  • Carter glanced up at the sky, closing his eyes. A faint tremble at the ground came in the left direction, charging in. Carter withdraw his silver dagger and folded himself into a black mist. The mare galloped to him, reared to stop, looking wildly for Carter. He came down above, crashing down to his mare. The dark horse whined, and swirled its head to sank its sharp like dagger teeth into Carter's arms. He growled, and slashed his horse's neck, dark blood pooled around his arms and the floor. The mare shook off Carter and charged at him again, the wound closed in. Carter had only time to react by dodging, and pivoted with his foot. "Not bad, Shadow," Carter grinned.

  • Scarlet Palen leans over the lake, taking in the sun's rays that seemed to dance so elegantly over the surface. The water was clear and calm, a perfect day. She knew that she should be training, but a break wouldn't be so bad every once in awhile. Hoping that her cabin wouldn't see her relaxing, Scarlet takes a deep breath, leaning back against the shore, not bothering to pull back her frenzy of dark red hair.

  • "I'm not sure I can stand the Aphrodite kids anymore, even to bother them. Half of them do nothing but ogle me and the other half think I want fashion advice," Jay shook his head, grimacing. "Might as well go to the lake. And as much as I like rain, "playing in the rain" sounds more like five year old kids or dumb*ss teen movie stars would do," he grumbled, noticing Scarlet as he and Holly approached the lake.

  • Bae emptied out the bucket of water and grabbed two new buckets. They where made of metal and heavier than they looked but Bae was strong from years of working in the fordge, with a steady pace Bae headed for the lake to fill the buckets with new fresh cool water. As he walked he saw Alex in the field and waved to her, she saw him and lept to her feet racing over using her staff to cadipult herself over objects in the way. Bae waited for Alex on the path, the two of them had a borther sister relationship that started when Alex had been found at the boarder by Bae several years ago. The two of them walked down to the lake together, seeing the others there as they approched Bae called out, "Hey ya'll." Alex looked at him with a smile and laughed like usual when he said 'ya'll'.

  • The voices developed into semi-silence, but a feeling of twitchiness had gripped Jax. She sighed and closed the book, jumping down off the roof and onto the ground into a slight crouch. She stood fully, set the book next to her bunk, and headed down to the training area.

  • Ya'll? Was the kid serious? Jay glanced at the boy, noting the girl beside him. He vaguely recognized the boy as... What was his name? Jay normally wouldn't care, but he had the impression it was unusual. As for the girl, he remembered her name, purely by chance. Alex. it was. He assumed that was short for something, Alexandra or Alexis maybe. He hadn't talked to either, despite the fact that these two had been in the Camp longer than Jay had, and he'd been here for a year. He spent most of his time in his cabin or on the training field, and he ignored people who approached him on the latter. He preferred solitude. "Not surprised so many people are coming down to the lake. It's a beautiful day," Jay grumbled sarcastically, as if beautiful days were bad things. He did wish the Camp's weather control magics, whatever they were, weren't so strong. Calling up a rainstorm would be the perfect excuse to get out of this. Atmokinesis (the ability to control the weather) was one of Jay's specialties. Give him an hour to work and Jay could whip up a freak lightning storm, the kind mortal weather forecasters dreaded. And he could do lesser things, like rainstorms, in far less time.

  • As Jax headed down to the training arena, she noticed that there was a small gathering at the lake. She shook her head lightly in bemusement. People always acted so odd on sunny ways. Especially Jay, who seemed grumpy per the usual. She only remembered his name because of overhearing a conversation by the Aphrodite kids.
I really should get myself a bow, she thought suddenly. She paused at the gardener-like shack that held weapons, and opened the door, peeking it and then coughing lightly as dust arose. She swiped at the interior air and then entered the little space, bending over to look as best she could with the blazing light pouring in through the minimally opened door.

  • Scarlet picks herself up, sliding her silver sword back to its original form: A hairclip. It wasn't originally able to do that, but a Hephaestus kid was able to help her out. Sliding the white clip into her hair, Scarlet walks up the riverbank and toward the arena. Might as well get ready for any games the councelers would throw at them. Besides, she would win anyways- Almost guaranteed. If the Ares cabin didn't- Scarlet shivers at the thought of facing an angry Ares.

  • Jax emerged from the shack, an old, simple bow strung across her back and a set of 10 arrows in a dusty thigh-quiver in her hands; she was dusting off the quiver, pausing just to close the shed door. She continued walking towards the training arena. The counselors had promised a 'game' that night, and she was wary of whatever they would have found to throw at them. She finished dusting and paused at the edge of the arena, attaching the quiver to her leg.

  • Haven was sitting in the yard of the Nyx cabin, drawing a flower out of boredom. She showed the finished copy to a dozing Boo, "Like it?" The hellhound sighed quietly and closed his eyes, "I'll take that as a yes," Haven decided. She got up and dusted herself off, "C'mon, let's go for a walk!" Boo Radley jumped to his feet and barked excitedly. Haven laughed and opened the gate, "Let's find something to do."
