    Lily looked up from the small bush she was hiding in. It was sun rise and she was getting ready to go hunt for some food for the first time in four days. Her lithe sandy coat blended in with the plants around her. Her shocking green eyes looked around quickly to make sure that she or her kits weren't in immediate danger. She looked back at the two-moon old kits. They were so peaceful looking curled up together in their sleep. There were two of them and she knew they would be together no matter what. She smiled at them before she turned her attention back to the moor that stretched out in front of her.

    Lighteningfoot stretched as he patrolled the border alone. The big tom licked his lips as the scent of prey came to his nose, but he shook his head, he had to stay focused. A breeze brought back the scent, along with another one, an unfamiliar one. The grey Windclan cat pricked his ears, looking around.

    Lily looked around and cought scent of a rabbit just before she saw it. Quietly she stalked it, staying low but quick. Right before she went to ounce she heard some rustling from the bush she was under and knew her kits were waking up. The rabbit heard it too and started bounding away. She darted after it and soon had it in her jaws walking back to te bush. When she got there she saw the kits sitting up and looking around. She smiled at them and put the rabbit down so that they could all share it.

    Lighteningfoot started walking in the direction of the scent, and recognized the scent of fresh kill aswell. He came to a stop as he heard the rustling and let out a hiss, to warn them.

    Lilys ears shot straight up. She flicked her tail and her kits became silent and crouched down, flattening them selves under the bush. Lily sat up and looked toward the sound the hiss came from.

    Lighteningfoot stalked forward, coming to a stop not far from them. By now, he knew it was a rogue, and he wasn't pleased, but what caught his attention were the smell of the kits, "What are you doing here?" He called out roughly, showing he wasn't happy but not being all too violent.

    Lily flattened her ears defensively. "We're trying to get away from our past and are looking for a better future." She replied calmly. The kits were shaking slightly at the scent of this at. They knew he wasn't happy and remembered the last time they had made a tom mad, they got raked acros their muzzles. Lily placed her tail on them to calm them. "Who are you?" She asked politely, trying not to make the situation worse.

    Lilys attention went from Lightningfoot to Moonshimmer. She sighed then stepped out from under the bush so that she could get a better view of them but signaled for the kits to stay where they were. She was supper skinny, even for her naturally lithe body. You could see her ribs through her sandy fur, but her green eyes were shockingly bright and glistening even though she was on the brink of starvation. "Hello, my name is Lily. I don't mean to sound to demanding, considering we are on your territory but could you te me your names and what Clans territory we are on. We got lost while running away from where we previously were and I would like to know how far we got." She asked calmly.

    Lightningfoot's eyes softened slightly when she stepped out from the bush, noticing how thin she was. "I'm Lightningfoot of Windclan," He said, nodding his head slightly, his eyes flickering to where the kits were, even though he couldn't see them.

    She kept her ears flattened on her head, out of natural reaction to the confrontation but she relaxed slightly. "Nice to meet you Lightningfoot and you to Moonshimmer" She said.

    "I bet you're still wondering what we're doing here and who the two kits under the bush are." She said with a small sigh.

    "We came from a small forest near these Clans but in the other side of the two leg place." She said her wars unplastering from the top of her head.

    Lightningfoot was torn, he knew he should abide by the Warrior code, chase them out, something. But the sight of how thin Lily was, and the kits in the bushes, "So.. what were you planning on doing? If you go much further you'll cross the border into Riverclan territory, and I don't think they'd appreciate it.." He mewed.

    "I don't know. Try and survive for as long as we can. I'm not sure, I just want them to be safe." She said looking back at the bush. The kits were starting to sit up, curious about the new cats.

    The grey tom nodded, thinking things through. "Eat the rabbit, I'll make sure no other cats find you, and you can decide," He mewed, flicking his tail and he glanced back in the direction of the kits.

    "Well maybe you can-"she stopped and looked at lightningfoot wandering if he was thinking the same thing
