Star nodded and lept down behind her, then gave the group of trainees a reassuring look. She spotted Dog and wondered what they should start with. "What should we teach them tomorrow?" She asked him after padding over to the Tom.
Rouge was tired from the day and only wanted to sleep. He glanced at the others and decided to make a nest for the night under a tree.

Dog tilted his head, thinking. "I'm not sure.. What can we teach them that they do not already know how to do?" He asked, delving deeper into thought.

"Some of them know nothing, so I guess we could start with dodging and tackling." She replied, then she walked away swishing her tail in his face jokingly. She padded over to a comfortable looking sleeping spot and soon fell asleep.

Firefly padded to her den thinking of all the herbs she needed to collect tomorrow.

Dog scrunched his nose as her tail brushed against his face. He watched her walk away and select a spot for sleep. He did the same, following her, he picked a spot nearby and curled up.

In the middle of the night Star woke up because she heard an awful noise. She looked around and saw a very young cat being attacked by a fox. She bolted upright, saw that Dog was near her and shook him awake. Then star ran over to the trainee and flung herself on the fox, tearing at it's back.
Rouge heard scuffling and thought nothing of it, because he was too tired.

Dog grunted when he was woken but soon realized the urgency. The tom ran to the back of the fox and sinker his teeth into its hind leg, hoping to get his attention away from the young cat.

The fox shook Star off of it's back and hit her with its front paws against her side. She saw Dog bite the fox and the trainee, Grumble, lash out with his claws at its face.

The fox struggled for a bit and then went limp, blood gushing from its neck. It fell to the ground, dead. Star limped over to the others, gazing at the dead fox. She wondered if they should set up more scent markers. Then she realized that she had a slash down her flank.

"I have a small scratch on my side, it's fine." She said uncertainly. She looked at dog and the cat Grumble, and they looked fine.

Star almost fainted from blood loss.

Dog rushed over to Star and helped her stay awake. He had a concerned look on his face. "She needs help!"

Firefly limped as fast as she could towards Star with a wad of cobwebs and herbs in her mouth. She uses the cobwebs to stop the bleeding. "Can you walk?" Firefly asked Star.
