"Ah, yes, you survived. That is a true mark that you are a child of a god, and are incredibly special to us. No matter your parent. Hmm, let me fix that cut of yours and then we'll proceed." The horse-man spoke to you normally, and you stare at it with wide eyes. "No need to be afraid, child. my name is Chiron. I am a centaur." the centaur's voice was deep and calming. Feeling a little relieved you follow him into the infirmary where a few campers are sleeping on some beds, some with various injuries. The centaur kindly rubs your cut with a golden colored juice that reminds you vaguely of your favorite beverage. He then hands you a chunk of something like a chocolate bar and you eat it as told. Wow...your favorite food. After a little while, he explains that your are a child of a Greek god. That the Greek gods in the myths you were always fascinated with actually exist. In amazement you listen as he lists all of the gods off, and that your may be a child of one of them. Chiron then tells you he (and others) would be training your so that when you got older (if you survived), you could make your way decently into the world, full of monsters, and other vermin. Can you survive?

Characters Name: Jaxon Highlander - but just call her Jax for short.
Age: 16 years old - she arrived at Camp two days ago.
Gender: Female.

Personality: She loves playing with words - twisting them, turning them, and making a direct word into a spectral maze. Jaxon has two sides: a quiet side with a pool of mischief, and a serious side with a hint of a darker side. She's been through a lot as a kid. She finds escape through writing - dramatic entries about her life and how it could have gone in a freer, more mystic world. She is also incredibly interested and vividly studies Greek and Roman lore. She loves wolves and is incredibly defensive of them - so expect a raging outburst if something related happens. (That's me, too. ^^)
Godly Parent: Hermes/Mercury.
Weapon: A Greek falcata - a type of short-sword - called Idris. The name Idris had been already engraved in the metal near the hilt of the wooden hilt when she got it - it had been incredibly dead with rust, and generally loose. However, she worked for a long Camp day working on it - and is still not fully happy - and finally it's basely rust-free. The hilt is wooden, wrapped with leather. She cares for the sword every day in a very specific, scheduled way. She loves that sword for a reason mysterious to even her. The sword can change into a ring that looks like a tiny sword bent into a circle, with a pommel of flawed amber.
Pets: She doesn't have any, at the moment, although she particularly loves huskies. She's rather picky with the topic of pets, on any hand.
History: Jaxon was born in southern Maine. She has oft traveled since, with her mom and her stepdad, Tristan Mo'ure from Virginia. She spent most of her childhood playing with her brother, William, and her friend, Quinton Conners. She has out playing a harsh game of tag with them at about age 9 when she discovered her mom - Mary - talking with a man she's never seen before. It was Hermes, actually, and he was talking in a quick, worried, and grim kind of way. She remembers the word 'war' coming from the "strangers'" lips. They he disappeared, dust brushing thickly over the rocks. She ran over to her mom to comfort her when she dropped down and began to sob. When Jaxon was 12, she asked her mom about it again. Her mother simply turned away and refused to speak. Finally, when Jaxon was walking to a nearby park - they were in NY at the time on a business trip for her stepdad - a hellhound appeared out of nowhere and tried to smite her. It drew Jaxon to Camp, where the other campers smote the beast. She's still learning about who she is, but so far she's amused and in love with learning about it. She's had a hard time with the other campers, but she's trying to fix that, too. She doesn't actually mind the Ares kids.

Holly has a dark side, and a light side. She is humorous though (her jokes can sometimes be rather dry). Holly is a true born leader and is always ready to take control of a rough situation and help a friend get through (she is very loyal to her friends). But, she also can he fiery, so make sure you stay on her good side and don't get burned.
Godly Parent: Nike - Goddess of good competition, keeping fit, and goddess of victory.
Weapon: rip κόκκινο - Ripred. Like it's name it literally rips red.
Pets: Candyfloss, a German Shepherd. And Baron, a pegasus.

History: Holly was always on the streets, her mom threw her out of the house when she was six, and Holly was able to survive. She ganged up with her best friend, Marko Demetry, a son of Hades. They made a good team together, until the satyr found them. Holly was twelve, Mark was thirteen. She has been at the camp ever since.

However, Jay operates under a code of conduct as inflexible as diamond. If he gives his word, he would rather die than break it, and his friendship, while not bringing any noticeable lightening of mood, offers perhaps understanding of why he is how he is. However, if you break that friendship? That trust? That's it. You're done. Jay doesn't give out second chances.

Weapon: Jay wields a Medieval-style longsword gifted to him by Hephaestus at Zeus' urging, Lightbringer, the White Sword of Heroes. It glows with an ethereal golden and white light, but that light darkens to stormy gray when Jay is angry or in intense battle. Lightbringer, when Jay isn't using it, is unusual in that it doesn't take the form of an object. Instead it turns into a tattoo on his right forearm, a perfect, if smaller, replica of the sword itself.

History: One of the greatest prizes a monster can claim is a Son of Zeus, a child of the mighty King of the Gods himself. Jay had been running from hell-hounds, the Minotaur, and only the Gods know what else for years before he came to Camp Half-blood. Jay's mother, Jacqueline Raelyn, was mentally unstable, as fickle and as volatile as... Well, the storm. These were traits he hated in his mother, despite the fact that they are traits Jay himself possesses. Perhaps that is why Zeus took such an interest in her. Regardless, she was of no help, and Jay's luck, or perhaps fate, had not been kind enough to give him companions in his endless flight. He learned to rely only on himself, and he learned also that other people are just burdens. They slow you down, and to slow is to die. Even now, having lived for about a year in Camp Half-blood, old habits die hard, and he refuses to let his guard down, despite everyone around him telling him that he is safe there. Nowhere is truly safe, after all.

She can get very depressed at times but she keeps those feelings to herself so that she won't let others see her weakness.

History (THIS IS REQUIRED! Five sentences in the least): Bae grew up living a normal life, he had a step dad named Roger and his mother had passed away when he was 4. Roger spent all his free time with Bae teaching him all the things he knew, he loved watching the young boy build small machines that no one had ever seen and always encouraged his creativity. Roger was an expert fighter and taught Bae what he knew and was not suprised when Bae caught on quickly and was soon taking down his teacher with ease. Bae didn't know he was a demi-god of course, but Roger was aware, he could see through the mist and spent nights often freating about the monsters lurking around and for the safty of Bae. When Bae was old enough Roger drove him to Half-Blood Hill and explained things as best he could to Bae, he and Bae still talk and Bae goes and visits him.
Alex grew up in and out of foster care and orphanages, often running off herself before they could send her back. She got used to being alone and loved to be in the wild, she felt she could connect better with things out there. She was great with animals and once when she was seven a bear wondered up to her and let her pet it and its cubs without harming Alex. But what skills Alex did have with animals she lacked with other people, life grew harder and harder to bare as she got older. She had no friends and no one who would care if she went missing, so one day she just left without a trace, she escaped into the wild alone. After a year or two she wondered over the Camp Half Blood boarder after being chased by a horribal monster and was welcomed with warmth and friendlyness she had never experianced.

Yes, and it keeps people from making godly characters and being RP-lame. No offense to anyone!! It just bugs me at times. Good to know that we have clear brains around here still lol. I'm guessing that when we get enough people we'll begin to RP once you make an RP thread? Just curious - do you have any plot ideas at the moment?

History (THIS IS REQUIRED! Five sentences in the least): Bae grew up living a normal life, he had a step dad named Roger and his mother had passed away when he was 4. Roger spent all his free time with Bae teaching him all the things he knew, he loved watching the young boy build small machines that no one had ever seen and always encouraged his creativity. Roger was an expert fighter and taught Bae what he knew and was not suprised when Bae caught on quickly and was soon taking down his teacher with ease. Bae didn't know he was a demi-god of course, but Roger was aware, he could see through the mist and spent nights often freating about the monsters lurking around and for the safty of Bae. When Bae was old enough Roger drove him to Half-Blood Hill and explained things as best he could to Bae, he and Bae still talk and Bae goes and visits him.
Alex grew up in and out of foster care and orphanages, often running off herself before they could send her back. She got used to being alone and loved to be in the wild, she felt she could connect better with things out there. She was great with animals and once when she was seven a bear wondered up to her and let her pet it and its cubs without harming Alex. But what skills Alex did have with animals she lacked with other people, life grew harder and harder to bare as she got older. She had no friends and no one who would care if she went missing, so one day she just left without a trace, she escaped into the wild alone. After a year or two she wondered over the Camp Half Blood boarder after being chased by a horribal monster and was welcomed with warmth and friendlyness she had never experianced.

History (THIS IS REQUIRED! Five sentences in the least): Carter was born in Nice, France. He started to notice his powers in dark magic when he was two years old. Some mysterious forces from the Underworld escape and took away his family. Nyx felt heartbroken, so she decided to accept Carter as her own, living in her temple. After a few years, Nyx sent him to New York where his aunts lived. Carter was only six years old when he began to learn summoning dark forces and tame them. During one of his spells, he met with a beautiful majestic black mare. The steed almost tried to kill him, until one of his aunts came and stop the mare from harming Carter. The horse notice that the aunt has a connection to its source and calm down. His aunt later revealed as his mother Nyx, surprised not knowing that she's here all the time. Nyx granted him the black mare as his own, and send a path to Camp Halfblood....
