  • [Center][font=georgia] Ember stared at her phone. One minute passed by. Eventually a few more. Then about six. Once Harry had been replying quickly, now he wasn't replying at all. Ember's heart sunk. The otheer night she had led him on. She felt that. Now maybe she was trying to convince herself that it was ecause she was living in past, trying to cover up her revenge. Maybe that's what she'd come up with all along, trying toget Harry feel how she did. Get the pain that she dhad felt. She had maybe wanted him to crash and burn. Because the other night, she saw sincerity in his eyes. The green eyes that made her fall for him over and over again. Then the words he said... Ember should have known that she wasn't ready. She tried texting him again, now the desperate one. 'Harry. The date was great I was just thinking... it was too fast. Please don't be heartbroken or upset. I'm honestly not worth it.' she didn't know if he was heartbroken or upset. He proably didn't really care like she'd guessed. But she was maybe guessing, jujst maybe hoping that Harry cared. Because of her revenge emotions? Yeah. Because she was wanting to start their friendship over? Yes.

Niall bit his bottom lip and noddedd. As his lattee arrived, he grabbed it gently, thanking the waiter. He put the cup gently to his lips, taking a sip from it. "Independent girl. I like." He said with a wink. He kept his hand around the cup, thinking. "It's nice and peaceful in the mornings..." the Irish blonde murmured, his eyes averting back to a smiling Morgan who made him smile as well. [color=blue]"Do you have to work againtoday?" He asked. He wanted to try and go back later to get Harry's mind off of Ember. Hopefully that would be easy. Though the more he thought about it being easy, the more he doubted it. That lad had real feelings for that girl. Niall could see the dreamy in the lads eyes every time he looked at her. He just wished there was a way for the auburn haired lass to see it. Because Harry wouldn't probably feel any better. Especially knowing Niall was happy with someone, much less Ember's roommate.

  • Harry was just getting up, after being tired of sitting in his bed for fifteen minutes. He picked up his frantically buzzing phone, opening up the text with a blank face. Not worth it? He thought over and over in his mind, trying to contemplate what she was trying to say. Then, he started his text. 'If you weren't worth it, then why did I try so hard last night? I totally understand about wanting to stay in the friend zone, or maybe just hanging out for a while, getting to know me better before we tried anything new. But why can't you say it to my face? Why over a text?' He read over his words, before hesitantly pressing send. He heaved a heavy sigh, glad to know that he had finally gotten out of his system what he had wanted to say for a long time. He sat back down on his bed, shaking out his brown hair.

Morgan thought for a moment about her shift. "Um, not today I don't think. It's... It's Saturday. Wow. I have the weekend off." She replied, thinking about how fast the week went by. She then had the thought popping into her mind, that Niall needed to go talk to Harry. It had been about thirty minutes since she had gotten out of the cab, and now probably wasn't the right time to go back and consult things. "I know you need to talk to Harry, and I need to talk to Ember.." She started, almost wincing at her face when she got out of the cab. She really hoped Ember understood why she did what she did. "But now's probably not the best time. Knowing them they're probably texting or something, and I'd think they need to cool down." She finished, taking yet another sip of her latte before averting her gaze back to Niall. She smiled softly, glancing out of the window at the busy streets.

  • [align=center][font=georgia] Ember read over the text he got. She didn't know what to honestly say back. She didn't want to say anything offensive to hurt him or anything. She read over the text again before picking her words wisely. She knew instantly he was disappointed with her decision. 'Please meet me at the boardwalk.' She just needed some time to think before he arrived. She grabbed her hoodie and threw it on, heading out the door. Her flat and the boardwalk wasn't far away. Reasons she took a job there. She headed down the street, trying to think exactly what she'd say to him. She'd decided that she'd just say it to his face. Exactly what he wanted. He'd say it without looking into his eyes. Those eyes were just so hypnotizing that she didn't know if she'd make it through without kissing him or stopping or something. Kissing him. That might have been nice.

Niall smiled relieved that she didn't have to work. Maybe just maybe they could walk around the boardwalk today an he could try and win her something. Niall just felt tht he still needed to make an impression on her to fully win her over. That's if he already hadn't. When she mentioned him having to talk to Harry, he nodded, frowning a bit as he thought about the saddened lad and looked down towards the table. When she said it wasn't a good time, he nodded. [color=blue]"Yeah, not a good time." he mumbled in agreement, looking down at the latte. He bit his lip before looking up. [color=blue]"Do you maybe want to visit the boardwalk today? I know it's close to your job but... it seemed kind of fun there."

  • Morgan took another sip of her latte, listening to what Niall had to say. When he mentioned the boardwalk, her eyes instantly lit up. "Of course! I love the boardwalk! Especially if I get to go with you." She replied, a warm smile spreading across her lips. She soon finished her latte, setting it aside on the table with a smile. Her blue-green eyes lifted up to meet his gaze, biting her bottom lip.

Harry finally made it to the boardwalk, finding a bench in the middle of the mess. He didn't know where to meet her, but this was sort of in the middle of everything so maybe she could find him there. His heart was heavy and his eyes were tired, as he shook out his curls, waiting patiently for Ember to come. He did admit to himself, he was scared. About what would happen. It just put him on end.

  • [align=center][font=georgia] Ember's gaze averted around, just walking since she never told him exactly where she meet him. She soon found him, though. He seemed scared... scared about something. She wanted to seem emotionless but serious. Running her hands through her auburn hair before taking a seat next to him. "Hello Styles," she said awkwardly. This wasn't how she expected it to be. "You want me to say it to your face? Okay then." For a moment, she didn't look at him. But after a moment of hesitance, she looked up. "I'm sorry for leaving. Truth is, I don't want to be in a relationship with a person I don't yet trust. I'm sorry." Her voice cracked slightly and her eyes averted to her lap, hoping her wouldn't be mad at her, though she knew there would be something.

Niall grinned at her answer. He sipped at his latte until it was all gone, licking his top lip just in case there was something there. He blushed slightly and nodded. "Sounds good," He chiped happily, sitting back. [color=blue]"Whenever your ready, I'm ready." He looked around before his eyes averted to Mogan's blue-green eyes again.

  • Harry felt her sit down beside him, his green eyes staying planted on his hands in his lap. He quietly listened to what she had to say, and completely understood what she was going at. "I understand," he started, sighing and shaking out his curls. "It really scared me though." He added, finally looking up and meeting her gaze with a crooked smile. "So I'll make you a deal." He said, sitting up a little straighter. "You give me a real chance, to prove myself. And I promise to take it at your own pace." He finished, leaning back and placing his arm around the bench, the crooked smile a bit goofier.

Morgan scooted quietly out of the booth, taking her cup and Niall's, throwing them both away. She sighed a little, running a hand through her highlighted hair. She stood at the end of the table, a goofy smile plainly visible on her lips. "Shall we go Mr. Horan?" She questioned, her bright blue-green eyes glancing down to meet his. She held out a hand for him to take, dimples poised on her cheeks.

  • [Center][font=georgia]Ember listened to him, seeing him get a little be cocky, well at least in her eyes. What did he think this was? Ember just relax. He's not forcing you into any relationship she reminded herself. After a moment, she returned the smile, an almost challenging one like from earlier. For some reason she liked to play games and she liked to be the winner of them. But this was no real game this time... right? Harry supposedly proved himself and she didn't exactly believe him. She still kind of thought there was some joke behind it. You never know what the management has up their sleeve, but he looked just so sincere all the time. What an actor. "Deal." she repeated. And this time, she was sincere. "But this time, if you take me on a date. It's something less romantic and more friendshippy." she said that slowly, testing her words to make sure she had that right. She then nodding again. For some reason, she just sort of realized how she'd break if he'd never forgave her. Maybe she wanted him to succeed. It'd be good for them to be friends again. Before the bullying, before that thing that ruined it all, before she ever loved him.

Niall watched her throw away both their cups. He tried not to let it bother him on the fact that he wanted to be the gentleman and throw away the cup for her. He sighed quietly and smiled towards her, getting up and putting an arm around her, placing a soft placed kiss on her soft cheek. [Color=blue]"We shall, beautiful." He said. He was hoping he'd find the right girl. She seemed perfect, mostly in personality. The bonus was the green in her eyes, a turn on in which Niall always had for girls. He removed his arm from around her and gripped her hand softly, pushing the door leading out of Starbucks and heading towards the boardwalk. He made sure to intertwine their fingers, glad for the nice day that they had in New Jersey. He wondered what happened when the break was over and it was time for Niall and Harry to go back to the boys... then what?

  • Harry fidgeted in his seat for a moment or so, the challenging look in her eyes plain and visible. After hearing what she had to say, he nodded quietly. "Deal." He said simply, his British accent thick and lively. He then narrowed his eyes in thought. What had he really gotten himself into? At first he really just wanted to prove to her that he wasn't the same Harry as before.. But now it had really turned into something. Whenever he looked at her, he felt something real. Something sincere and.. Almost challenging. Of course she would be a challenge, but he was up for it if it meant gaining her trust, and heart. Because that was what he wanted most. Her love. "Shall we go explore the boardwalk?" He questioned, getting to his feet and holding out a hand for her to take, his lips pursed into a wide and cheerful smile.

Morgan bit her lip with a smile, squeezing his hand gently as they exited the Starbucks. He really was sweet, and meant well. She ran her free hand through her light hair, her blue-green eyes sparkling brightly in the New Jersey afternoon sun. It was now around 4:30, the boardwalk getting dark around 7. Just being near Niall gave her butterflies in her stomach, their fingers entwined and their arms touching. She glanced down a couple of times, truthfully a bit shy and nervous. The boardwalk came into sight, her lips curving into a wider smile. "Thanks for taking me today, it's really sweet." She said gently, her eyes glancing upwards to meet his, as he was about a foot taller than her.
