    "Playpaw." Periwinkle meowed, swaying her tail with a smile. "Come here."


    Paradisefalls seemed to have.. dissapeared and so she would be taking over his training till her co-workers return. "It is time for your first assessment."


    Divinita had already gotten hers just the other day, now it was Playpaw's turn.

    [font=georgia][color=white]Playpaw trotted over to her aunt, blue eyes sparkling with excitement. "Kay! I'm ready." Her paws kneaded the soil in anticpation and slight tension. She did not want to fail or do badly on this.

    "A cat comes in with a broken paw an is in an awful lot of pain. What should you do?"

    [align=left][font=georgia]Playpaw thought for a moment, picturing the situation. "Welllll, all fractures cause swelling, so I need to do something for that too..." She thought for a moment before answering with confidence, "First, I'll need to put the bone back in place - then I'll use broom and sorrel. Sorrel is a nice subsitute for horsetail or dock, as the latter doesn't grow in the mountains and horsetail is also used for many other injuries. Then I'll have to have the paw held with splint until the bone fully recovers." She watched Periwinkle carefully, nervously awaiting her response.

    "What would you tell the patient once their paw was bound? And dont forget, Poppy seeds would be really nice in a time like that." Periwinkle purred.

    [align=left][font=georgia]Playpaw smiled sheepishly, "Oops." Thinking for a second before she mewed, "I guess I would tell them to go easy and try to refrain from standing up, at least on that the broken paw. Otherwise they could possibly hop around on three paws, though I wouldn't suggest it." She purred at the mental image.

    "Very food. Now what should you do if a cat has had a horrible head injury and is bleeding from a cut on their head." Periwinkle asked, her blue eyes shining proudly. She had always adored Playpaw and seemed to always spend a lot of time with bith apprenticea. She knew they would both be amazing medicine cats that would make their clan proud.
