Frost halted and looked down at the kit, raising one eyebrow in amazement. Why was this kit out on its own? Shouldn't its mother protect it? Her pale eyes made her look innocent and kind as she gazed down upon the young kit, she put her basket down and opened her mouth to greet the kit with a meow. "Oh hi. What are you doing here? Isn't your mother around?" She meowed calmly, her eyes quickly scanned the forest in search for the mother.
