-Crystal-
Crystal woke with a start. It was the middle of the night and small drips could be heard echoing around the empty room. A small window let in the moon's light and it illuminated the space in a soft glow. Everything was white. From the white linoleum to the paint on the ceiling. It was utterly plain, utterly boring. That's when she remembered the day before. Crystal sighed and was brought to the edge of tears again. This wasn't supposed to happen. She was caught and taken here. Now, the walls mocked her just as her peers did. Reminding her that she could never get away from this and that she would always be trapped. The girl cried out in pain and tried to move her arm. A needle was stuck in her wrist. It's sliver shining in a stray moonbeam. Her parents must be worried, her friends horrified. What had she done? Her heart rate sped up and a beeping noise erupted from the machine next to her. The line was bouncing up and down at a fast rate and the lines soon became a jumbled up mess. Crystal couldn't focus on anything and the lights dimmed. The door swung open and hit the wall roughly. The stat team was there and two people rolled in yet another machine, this time with paddles. The first woman to come in held down Crystal's arms as violent coughs raked through her body. Scarlet blood now soaked the front of the white cotton dress she was wearing. Another nurse came onto the other side of her and held a plastic tool over her mouth. The woman held up her straggly blonde hair and both had the look of a worried mother on their faces. Another voice was heard off in the distance. It belonged to a male and rang out loud in clear. Crystal was fighting her heavy eyelids when suddenly, a shocked erupted from her chest. Her body convulsed in a violent manner and the nurse shook her head. Crystal was like a lifeless doll, and the nurses where trying to figure out how to cause her the most pain best. Someone yelled again and another shock over took her, this one more powerful than the last. It didn't matter though as Crystal's head tilted to the side and her eyes dropped closed. Her gripped loosened and the last thing she saw was two heads peeking through the blinds. Those that belonged to the people who had driven her to this, those who were killing her.

-Crystal-
Crystal held her hands in her lap as the car rolled up to the curb. It was dark outside. A ugly grey, just as her heart. The sun was nowhere in sight and the clock on the dash board said it was about six. Crystal's hospital gown was still on and her hair was oily from lack of a shower. The door made a loud pop as it unlock and the driver opened it. Crystal stepped out and stared at the house in front of her. The yellow trim and red bricks were to bright for the setting surrounding it. The man took her arm and led Crystal to the front door. He knocked on the wood and they waited. Shuffling feet could be heard on the other side, and moment later a woman appeared with a man; both of them smiling as Crystal looked at her feet. The driver introduced them and the woman smiled trying to grab Crystal's hand. Crystal swerved away and the man caught her arm. Gripping tightly, he pulled her into the house. She yelped out in pain at the man's rough touch. A boy was standing up on the stairs, half in shadows and half visible. He glared at Crystal and she winced. Talking would be heard all they way from the door. Soon it grew quiet till a loud slam echoed from the hall. Crystal watched out the window as the driver began to get into his car and drive away. An unnaturally happy voice could be heard from the little waiting room. "Hello Crystal!" The woman introduced herself. Her flaming red hair stood out against the decorative plates hanging on the wall."I'm Miranda and this is Clark!" She said pointing to her husband. Miranda suddenly turned around in wonder. "And where is-" She began when the boy from earlier came down. Crystal's head swerved so she could get a good look at him. The boy was about her age and had a nose piercing. His hair was dyed black with brown roots. He was wearing a black beanie and a black jacket along with dark wash jeans, and he was still glaring at her with the silent promise of revenge in his eyes. Crystal gave a surprised gasp, no one seemed to notice though. "Ah, and this is Mark!" Miranda finished cheerfully. "Now, let's go on a tour of the house." She said, but Crystal tuned out. Depression hit her again. How could her family do this? She sighed while heading up the stairs. Clark had been given her suitcase and was heading up the stairs after her. He pointed out rooms as her went and stopped almost immediately when they reached the top. He turned and headed into one of the rooms. Crystal followed him cautiously and walked through the threshold carefully. The walls where white and so was the bedspread. There was only on piece of furniture in the room. It was utterly colorless and utterly familiar. That's when she realized it looked exactly like the hospital. A tear rolled down her cheek as Clark set down the suit case.
"Is everything alright dear?" He asked and Crystal nodded.
"No, I'm fine." She said in a soft voice. It amazed her how broken she sounded. Clark nodded and shifted his feet.
"Alright then, I'm just gonna go..." He said and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him. Crystal nodded and opened the suitcase. Clothes where on top so she unpacked those first. A bathroom was soon discovered on the side of the room and Crystal began to run a bath. She stripped down out of her gown and tested the water with her fingers. Ripples ruined the smooth surface as she lifted her body into the water. The girl sighed as her muscles loosened. Crystal closed her eyes and let the water wash away the day. She would be started school tomorrow and the thought alone struck her with fear.
Once the water began to cool Crystal got out and wrapped a towel around her under fed body. Bones could be poking out from various points. It was when she had begun to avoid food, hoping she could avoid snide remarks about her weight. Her hair was darkened with water and droplets fell onto the rug under her feet. Once dried off and dressed She went back into the blank room and closed the blinds. The room was sent into shadows as Crystal sat on the bed. Pulling the blanket over her, her hair fanned out on the pillow and she closed her eyes. That was when the rain began to softly bounce off the window lulling Crystal to an uneasy sleep.
