Mellie flicked her ears...she had heard it too. "Who's there?" she whispered, trying to peer out of the den.

Nothing Is More Discouraging Than Unappreciated Sarcasm
■ ■ ■ ■ ■Distracted for the moment Neon turned, peering out into the
winter world. He hadn't noticed anyone before he had come
inside but that didn't mean someone hadn't been there. With
ease he padded toward the dens entrance poking his head
outside. -
The kits were older now. Felicis stepped out to the edge of the den, and he looked back at the kits, and his mate, with some sadness. He'd miss them greatly while he was on this mission. He hoped it wouldn't take too long.

Nothing Is More Discouraging Than Unappreciated Sarcasm
■ ■ ■ ■ ■Glancing at his friend he tilted his head, "which way?" He wasn't
about to let Felicis travel out and face this enemy alone, no matter
how strong the young tom was. -
Delia was almost sure she had heard a voice. Voices maybe. But she wasn't totally sure. "Is somebody there?" The gray she cat asked loudly, looking around in confusion. Then she froze, mouth wide in shock. "I can hear myself talk." Now that was insane.
-
"Yeah, who is that out there?" Felicis froze as well.. He had been about to answer Neon, but the stranger apparently was back.
-
Delia's eyes widened in shock. Yes, she had heard somebody for sure that time! "It's me, I'm a girl. Where are you at, voice?" Her own voice was coming out shaky, as this was pretty freaky to her. "Are you a zombie?" Those things were scary. And dead. She hoped whoever she was speaking to wasn't one. That would suck.
-
"What? No," said Felicis, struck by how the mention of zombies brought back a few very early memories, from the time when he had lived with Edelweiss in the cave. "i'm Felicis. Our family lives here."
-
Mellie peered out of the cave, craning her neck for a good look at the newcomer. "Who is it, Fel?" she called to her mate.
-
OOC| Exactly how old are the kits by now?
Rue
Rabre | Kit | FemaleBlue eyes blinking open slowly, it took Rue several moments to adjust to the brightness of the world around her. Another moment of silent passed from the she-cat, before she rolled over with a yawn.
-
ooc: I'd say a moon or moon and a half. It's been a while and it was a little overdue to begin with.
ic: "I don't know," said Felicis, turning his head to look briefly back at his mate. "She's just one she-cat I think. She seems a little lost."
-
"Well, invite her in, then," the she-cat purred. Of course, that wasn't really Mellie's decision to make. Her stomach gave an embarrassed lurch.
-
Anub'arakis let out a soft chirp and watched Felicis go, his eyes kit-blue eyes wide. "Papa," he squeaked, stumbling toward Felicis.
-
"Are you lost? Do you need to come in out of the cold?" Felicis asked the still-unknown-name she-cat who had spoken of zombies. That had given her an immediacy to him, though she could not possibly know it.
-
"Who da?" Anub'arakis mewed as the new she-cat came into view. The black kitten's ears flicked curiously as he settled himself next to Felicis' legs, slightly shivering from the cold drafts that washed over his soft fluff.
-
Mellie purred as she watched her kit stumble his way over to Felicis. It made her happy, his curiosity. She knew that they were growing.
-
Rue
Rabre | Kit | FemaleHearing the familiar voices of her parents and siblings around her, Rue mumbled something incoherent and rolled back over onto her other side. Her eyes remained lidded for several more seconds, reveling in the last bits of sleep that lingered.
After another moment her lids pulled back, revealing bright blue orbs that only belonged to that of a young cat. Rolling again, this time to crouch on her long legs, Rue pushed herself up to a standing position. A wave of nausea swept over her, but it soon passed. Instead her gaze traveled to her parents, standing at the entrance of the den she was birthed in. "What's going on?" Asked the black-furred female, head cocking to the side.
-
The lack of focus and progress was chafing at the small father tom. "I have to go rescue my family--my mother. Me and Neon are departing to go rescue them." Felicis spoke with trying to be firm, even though he was anythingt but intimidating, with his small size and large eyes and kitten-like face.
-
Maestro was looking around, as he stayed beside his mother. He didn't want to leave her just yet. Maestro whiskers twiched as he felted someone near his paw; he bend over to stiff it. It has a funny smell to it; but what was it? The little black dot was moving towards him, he moved clsoer to his mom. The little black thing had eight legs and a large back to it.
-
For a moment all Rue could do was stare blankly at her father. But finally her bright eyes blinked, and she spoke. "Alone? What about us?"
